Sony had some fresh news to share for Gravity Rush 2 over at the PlayStation Blog, starting with the announcement that the PlayStation 4 sequel is set to launch in North America on December 2. This puts it right after Europe’s November 30 launch and Japan’s December 1 launch.

Before Gravity Rush 2 launches, Sony will be hyping it up with a new anime produced by Rebuild of Evangelion‘s Studio Khara. Titled Gravity Rush The Animation ~ Overture ~, the anime aims to bridge the gap between the first game and its sequel, and more information will be divulged as we approach launch.

Here’s the latest trailer:

Pre-ordering Gravity Rush 2 at participating retailers will net players an alternative white costume for Kat and the Select Soundtrack, which includes nine tracks from the game. PlayStation Store pre-orders, which kick off on August 2, will come with 10 PSN avatars.
