The live-action trailer for GHOST IN THE SHELL looks absolutely killer

In a couple of very short weeks, the wait will be over. The most highly anticipated live-action anime/manga adaptation to GHOST IN THE SHELL will make its debut at the end of March. When I went to see the anniversary theatrical release of the anime film by legendary director, Mamoru Oshii, the showed the trailer as well as a short production feature prior to the film. As soon as I saw that, and how Oshii seemed to endorse the Hollywood version of the hit manga and his anime adaptation, I made up my mind. I’m going to see this one. The production values in the trailer alone look absolutely killer.

Check out the trailer for yourself:

I’ll be checking the film out in both its IMAX presentation and in digital. After months of feeling skeptical about the project when it was first announced, I believe I’m going to be eating those words. But, we’ll just have to see. But if it does well we possibly could see the beginnings of a new franchise. If not, well….
The Japanese dub cast has already been decided for this one.
Will this version live up to all the hype? We’ll see on March 31st!

Are you going to see the live-action adaptation of GHOST IN THE SHELL when it comes out?
