May’n and Wake Up, Girls! Team Up For “Isekai Shokudo” OP Theme

The theme song performers and a new key visual have been revealed for Isekai Shokudo (known in English as Restaurant to Another World), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of gourmet fantasy light novels written by Junpei Inuzuka and illustrated by Katsumi Enami about an otherwise ordinary eatery whose doors sometimes serve as a portal to magical realms.

The opening theme for Isekai Shokudo, entitled “One in a Billion” will be performed by Wake Up, May’n!, a collaboration between J-pop singer May’n and the Wake Up, Girls! voice idol unit. The ending theme, entitled “Namida.” (“Tears.”), will be performed by Kiyono Yasuno, who will also provide the voice for treasure-hunter Sara Gold in Isekai Shokudo.

The story of Isekai Shokudo focuses on the Western Cuisine Cat Restaurant, which during the week is an ordinary eatery. On Saturdays, though, the restaurant’s doors serve as a portal to another world, and visitors from fantastical realms can enjoy the experience of Western-style cooking.

Isekai Shokudo is directed by Masato Jinbo and feature animation by SILVER LINK. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan in the Summer season of 2017.
